The information booths will be set up in Brenham, Burton, Chappell Hill, and Independence.  The first kiosk will be installed in Chappell Hill next week, at a location agreed upon by officials there.  It will be followed by an installation in Burton.  Locations in Brenham and Independence are yet to be determined.

Each kiosk is designed to create a welcoming feel for the community it is located in, and will highlight and promote local businesses as well as Visit Brenham lodging partners.

One side of the kiosk will feature a county map with a “You are here” marker; the other will have information about the community the booth is located in.  Containers displaying rack cards and brochures will also be attached.

The county-wide project began when the City of Brenham brought the Visit Brenham destination marketing organization (DMO) under the City’s umbrella, and sought to create a collaborative framework for promoting the entire county.

The cost of the project is being underwritten by Visit Brenham, and the effort is a direct result of in-depth tourism research and analysis.

  1. I think it’s a lot of money being spent for something that WILL NOT make a difference!
