CUBS TO VISIT BASTROP IN DISTRICT PIGSKIN ACTION

The Brenham Cubs look to improve their district mark to 5-0 as they hit the road to face Bastrop.

Brenham is 6-1 on the season, winning their last six games, including a 21-0 victory over Elgin last week.

Coach Eliot Allen says the team has got to improve their execution if they’re to continue their winning ways…

Bastrop comes into the game with a 3-4 mark, but an 0-4 record in District 13/5A DII, but were in three of those losses.

Allen says the Bears will be a very athletic team…

Bastrop is led by their quarterback, Desmond Young, who has rushed for 436 yards and thrown for 577 yards.

With the season down to three games, and the playoffs looming, Coach Allen says the team has got to continue to get better…
