The public will have the opportunity tonight (Thursday) to get to know the City of Brenham’s two newest public officials.

Ron Parker, the city’s new police chief, and Donald Reese, new Assistant City Manager of Public Services and Utilities, will meet with the community from 4 to 6 p.m. in the ice cream parlor at Blue Bell Creameries.

Parker was hired as Brenham’s police chief in January, following former chief Allwin Barrow’s recent retirement.  Parker, most recently the Chief of Police in La Porte, will officially begin his duties with the city on Monday.

Reese, who began his work with the city on January 13th, was hired for the position formerly held by Lowell Ogle, who retired from the city in October.  Reese comes to Brenham from the City of Victoria, most recently serving there as the Director of Public Works.
