ONE BLUE BELL ICE CREAM LICKER IS SENTENCED WEDNESDAY

  

One of the infamous Blue Bell Lickers has been sentenced in a Port Arthur courtroom Wednesday.  24-year-old D'Adrien Anderson pled guilty in the case and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and an additional 180 days of probation for the August 2019 incident.  He will also have to pay a $1000 fine and over $1500 in restitution to Blue Bell for having to replace all of their product in the freezer at the Walmart in Port Arthur.

Anderson posted a video of himself opening a half gallon of Blue Bell ice cream and licking it before placing it back in the freezer.  He claims that he later purchased the ice cream, but the video had already gone viral of the copycat crime.    The series of incidents began in July of last year after a video was posted of a girl licking a carton of Blue Bell and placing it back on the shelf at a Lufkin Walmart.  That girl was later identified as a juvenile.
