MAGNOLIA MURDER SUSPECT FOUND DEAD IN CYPRESS HOME
The suspect in a Wednesday night murder in Magnolia apparently killed himself Thursday near Houston.

(Montgomery Co. S.O.)
27-year old Christopher Julian was found dead in his father’s Cypress home after an hours-long standoff with law enforcement.
Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force found Julian hiding at the home. He was wanted in connection with the Wednesday night shooting death of his friend, 29-year-old Samuel Schmitt, at a home in Magnolia.
As soon as officers arrived at the house, Julian began firing shots at them. None of the officers were hurt in the gunfire and none returned fire.
Just before 6:00 p.m., officials announced that deputies had entered the home and found Julian dead from an apparent self-inflicted wound.
Several assault rifles and a shotgun were found in the home.
