WASHINGTON CO. REPORTING 57 ACTIVE COVID-19 CASES, 428 RECOVERIES

ACTIVE CASES LOWEST SINCE EARLY JULY

  

Washington County is reporting its lowest number of active COVID-19 cases since before the 4th of July.

Monday’s data from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) shows the county now has 526 total positive cases, 57 active cases, 428 recoveries, and 41 deaths.  The county added 12 new recoveries and subtracted 12 active cases from Sunday.

The 57 active cases are the county’s lowest since July 3rd, when DSHS showed an estimated 59 active cases.

The county reported an additional COVID-19 fatality on August 11th.  Monday, the state as a whole surpassed 10,000 confirmed COVID-19 deaths, becoming the fourth state to do so.  Roughly four in every five of those deaths were reported after June 1st.

As of Monday, the county has performed an estimated 4,124 COVID-19 tests.
