BRENHAM PARKS AND REC BOARD TO DISCUSS PROJECTS FUNDED IN NEW FISCAL YEAR

  

The Brenham Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will have a wide variety of projects to discuss at its meeting Wednesday.

The board will hear an update on Parks and Recreation projects being funded in the 2020-21 Fiscal Year.

Projects to be discussed at the meeting include the addition of Phase II at the splash pad at Henderson Park, possible modifications to old infrastructure at Henderson Park and Fireman’s Park, and the Brenham Family Park project.

Board members will also consider the implementation of the Little Free Library program in Brenham parks, along with recommended changes to the 2021 Parks and Recreation fee schedule.

The board will meet Wednesday at noon in the multi-purpose room at the Blue Bell Aquatic Center.

  1. What about Jackson St. park. Haven’t seen anything done to I since the survey was done.

    1. With all the work planned at city parks and new city parks city residents can only expect to pay higher property taxes as county residents enjoy the parks free. My uncle who works at the city. He said he plans to go work at the county since with all this he will never get the same retirement benifits that the county offers and since Brenham employees get a lot less than other towns. He said he will even sell his house in the city. That way he gets free city benefits too.
