BRIEF FOOT CHASE LEADS TO ARREST OF BRENHAM MAN
(Washington Co. Jail)
A Brenham man is back behind bars after a chase and his arrest, Tuesday.
33-year old Kenneth Helmer was located in Independence by members of the Brenham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit and Washington County Sheriff’s deputies.
Helmer was wanted on a number of felony warrants out of Washington County.
According to authorities, Helmer tried to flee on foot, but was apprehended after a brief chase.
He was charged with Continuous Violence Against the Family; Assault Family/Household Member with Previous Conviction; and Evading Arrest/Detention with Previous Convictions.
Helmer was taken to the Washington County Jail.
