TWO ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY LATE THURSDAY NIGHT

Two Washington County residents were arrested late Thursday evening and charged with burglary.  Sheriff Otto Hanak reports that at approximately 11:00 pm Thursday, Deputy Corey Himebaugh was dispatched to a location in the 9000 block of F.M. 389 in reference to a suspected burglary in progress.  As Deputy Himebaugh arrived at the location, he observed a white Ford F150 departing the address and a short time later made a traffic stop.

The two occupants of the vehicle were identified as 38 years old Brenham resident Isham Casey-Dale Evans, the driver, and the passenger as 26 year old Andrea Lane Kellum.  Kellum advised Deputy Himbaugh she previously lived at the property, was evicted, and did not have permission to be on the property. During the scene investigation, a probable cause search of the vehicle yielded illegal drugs, suspected being Fentanyl, bolt cutters, and items taken during the burglary.   Deputy Himebaugh learned that a lock and chain on gate protecting the property had been cut and removed.   During questioning in reference to damage to the suspect vehicle, Evans admitted to colliding with a telephone junction box and damaging both it and the vehicle as he drove away from the property.

Both suspects were arrested for Burglary of a Building and booked into the Washington County Jail.  Evans was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and remains in custody under $10,000. bonds.  Kellum remains in custody under a $5,000.00 bond.
