RESIDENTS REMINDED TO BE WARY WHEN CHOOSING CONTRACTORS TO PERFORM WINTER STORM REPAIRS
Residents who are in need of repairs following the winter storm are advised to be cautious when seeking services.
The Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners is providing provisional licenses to out-of-state plumbers to increase the response to burst pipes and flooding. Governor Greg Abbott is also waiving certain fees and examination requirements to allow plumbers with expired licenses in the state to assist Texans in need.
City of Brenham Development Services Director Stephanie Doland said residents need to be aware of scammers who may try to take advantage of them in the wake of the disaster.
Doland said customers need to do their homework and be mindful when selecting a contractor to ensure they are truthful and capable of performing the services needed.
