FAYETTE CO. TRAFFIC STOP NETS $7-MILLION IN COKE & METH
Over seven-million dollars in narcotics was recovered following a Fayette County traffic stop, Tuesday morning.
Sgt. Randy Thumann pulled over a vehicle just before noon, on I-10, just west of Schulenburg.
K9 partner Kolt alerted to the tailgate of the Dodge truck. Inside a compartment in the tailgate, Thumann discovered 50 pounds of methamphetamine and 22 pounds of cocaine, with an estimated street value of 7.3-million dollars.
21-year-old Luis Fonseca and 28-year-old Armando Morales, both of Eagle Pass, were charged with Felony Drug Possession.
The two were transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
