BRENHAM MAN INDICTED FOR ASSAULT OF A PUBLIC SERVANT

A Washington County Grand Jury has indicted a Brenham man charged earlier this year with assault after two Washington County Jail officers were injured during a dispute.

24-year-old JaMichael Dijon Adams was indicted Tuesday on two counts of Assault of a Public Servant.  Adams was initially arrested by Brenham police on February 6th on five misdemeanor warrants, which included two counts of Driving While Intoxicated, Theft of Property, Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, and Unlawful Restraint.

Upon being booked into the Washington County Jail, Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak said Adams became noncompliant and aggressive, striking a detention officer in the face and causing injury to another officer who was attempting to control Adams.

Both of the officers were treated at a local hospital and later released.

39-year-old Jonathan Paul Pruett, Jr. of Brenham, indicted for Intentional or Reckless Assault Impeding Breath or Circulation of a Family Member with Previous Conviction and Sexual Assault.

62-year-old Johnnie Earl McKissack of Brenham, indicted for Aggravated Assault against a Household Member with a Deadly Weapon.

37-year-old Joshua Franklin of Brenham, for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath or Circulation.

28-year-old Kenjuan Dmon Kelley of Bryan, charged with Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility.

51-year-old Roman Palomarez of Brenham, for Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone.

38-year-old Kanitra Kaye Cloud of Brenham, 26-year-old Andrew Keller Herbst of Bellville, 50-year-old Roy Melvin Jackson, Jr. of Chappell Hill, 28-year-old Hannah Elisabeth Johnson of Austin, 38-year-old Ronald Gene Koch of Somerville, 44-year-old Cheryl Ann Maynard of Brenham, 18-year-old Tandrick Deshun Ragston of Texarkana, 29-year-old Marcos Antonio Rivas of Houston, and 23-year-old Darius Alexander Toliver of Brenham, all for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

21-year-old Terry Dale Stegmann, Jr. of Brenham, indicted for Sexual Assault of a Child.

26-year-old Preston Jamal Walker-Bailey of Brenham, for two counts of Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

41-year-old Amy Michelle Stewart of Washington, charged with Theft between $30,000 and $150,000.

27-year-old Erick Nevarez of Somerville, for Criminal Mischief between $2,500 and $30,000, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm.

19-year-old Zavian Armar Mayweather of Humble, indicted for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

24-year-old Chandler Renee Horak of Brenham, for Attempted Tampering with Physical Evidence.

39-year-old Evan Szaf of Brenham, for Possession of a Controlled Substance – Repeat Felony Offender.

26-year-old Tony Sylanderfort Morris, Jr. of Houston, charged with Bail Jumping/Failure to Appear.

33-year-old Erica Love of Brenham, for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
