COLLEGE STATION WOMAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING ASSAULT AT LOCAL RESTAURANT

A College Station woman faces a felony charge after her arrest at a Friday afternoon disturbance at a Brenham restaurant.

Friday, just after 1:00 p.m., police were called to an active disturbance at the L.A. Chicken Shack at 100 North Chappell Hill Street.

During their investigation, officers arrested 21-year-old Alexia Lister of College Station.  Lister, who was armed with a knife, was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

No one was injured.  Lister was taken to the Washington County Jail.

  1. This would be an excellent example for the soon-to-be signed-into-law constitutional carry argument. If anyone who was legally allowed to carry a handgun had walked into the restaurant when the individual had her knife out and she wheeled about and faced them and, possibly, moved towards them, they could have shot and killed her on the spot. The likely defense would be “I felt threatened and she had a knife” and I’m sure no grand jury or other jury would have the slightest intent on convicting them.
