BRENHAM ISD SAYS FAMILIES ARE NOW ELIGIBLE FOR P-EBT BENEFITS
After stating earlier this week that families in Brenham ISD are not eligible to receive Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits, the school district now says families are eligible.
The district announced on Friday that after reviewing the qualifiers for the P-EBT program, it appears families in the district can participate in the federally funded food assistance program.
The P-EBT program is part of the U.S. government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the program, eligible school children receive temporary emergency nutrition benefits loaded on EBT cards that can be used to purchase food.
