HOT NIGHTS, COOL TUNES ANNOUNCES LINEUP CHANGE FOR FINAL CONCERT

There has been a change-up for tomorrow (Saturday) night’s Hot Nights, Cool Tunes concert in downtown Brenham.

The Spicolis

The Journey tribute band, Escape, was set to perform for the final summer concert of the year, but City of Brenham officials announced this (Friday) afternoon that the band has had to cancel.  The music group said on social media that the cancellation is due to circumstances beyond its control, and has nothing to do with the City of Brenham, which it said has been “gracious and supporting.”

In their place, The Spicolis will come to town.  The Spicolis, a variety band out of Houston, cover songs from the MTV generation super groups and play tribute to the ‘80s.

The concert will still begin at 7 p.m. on the courthouse square, and will still feature the Stray Katz Car Club’s classic car cruise-in.

The performance is sponsored by Baylor Scott & White – The Brenham Clinic, Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union, Brannon Industrial Group and Strand Associates.

KWHI’s Craig Montana will be the host for the evening.
