BRENHAM CUB BAND MARCHES ACROSS BRENHAM TO KICK OFF SCHOOL YEAR

The Brenham Cub Band kick-started the new school year with its annual March-a-Thon this (Friday) morning.

The band made its way around Brenham, stopping to perform marching songs at several locations to get ready for the 2021 marching season.

The march began at the Brenham High School Band Hall, with stops at First Baptist Church, downtown Brenham, Bank of Brenham, St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Brenham ISD central office, Christ Lutheran Day School, the Margaret E. Blizzard Senior Activity Center and Blue Bell Creameries.

The event is a yearly tradition for the Cub Band, and also serves as a fundraiser for the band program.  Bank of Brenham donated $1,000 to the band during its march.

Anyone interested in donating to the band program can contact Band Director Eric Rettig at erettig@brenhamk-12.net.
