BLINN SYMPHONY, CHOIRS TO PERFORM ‘SOUNDS OF THE SEASON’ FRIDAY
The Blinn College wind symphony and choirs will perform a musical tribute to the holiday season tonight (Friday).
The College will present “Sounds of the Season” at 6 p.m. at the Festival Institute Concert Hall in Round Top.
Blinn Performing Arts Department Head Todd Quinlan said the concert will feature a variety of music selections.
The concert will be under the direction of Band Director Dr. Sarah Burke and Choir Director Dr. Paulo Gomes.
Some of the selections will include African Noel; Veni Domine; Carol of the Bells; the world premiere of Lux by Assistant Band Director Dr. Kendall Prinz; Brightest and Best; The First Noel; Gesù Bambino, and Let There Be Christmas. The show will close with a singalong medley of holiday favorites.
