AMERICAN LEGION POST DONATES TO ROUND TOP-CARMINE EDUCATION FOUNDATION

  

The American Legion Quade-Werchan Post #338 and their Ladies Auxiliary are doing their part to further the cause of education.

During the “Small Town, Big Hearts Fundraiser”, they presented the Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation with a check in the amount of $1,500.

Over the past seven years, the Quade-Werchan Post has contributed over $12,000 to the Foundation in support of the school district and its students.

Money from the donations have been used to purchase new musical instruments for the band, as well as laptop computers, and white boards.

Last year, the Post made a donation in memory of their former Commander Glenn Fox, who was a long time volunteer in helping students learn to read.

That donation was used by the high school librarian to purchase numerous books and publications needed by the school.
