WASHINGTON CO. BUSINESSES PARTICIPATING IN SUNDAY FUNDAY CAMPAIGN

DOZENS OF LOCAL BUSINESSES OPEN EACH SUNDAY THROUGH MAY 29

  

Brenham and Washington County businesses are recognizing the arrival of spring with a Sunday FunDay campaign.

More than 75 shops, restaurants, museums, attractions and entertainment venues have committed to having their doors open each Sunday during the three months of the spring season to accommodate the large influx of visitors expected to the area.

Adding to the search for wildflowers is the opportunity for visitors to take part in Sunday FunDay and enjoy many of the interesting things to do in the county.

The campaign, put on by the Visit Brenham/Washington County Destination Marketing Organization, begins tomorrow (Sunday) and concludes May 29th.

Retail participants in Brenham include The Book Nook, New Dimensions, Downtown Art Gallery, Brenham Boutique, Mimi’s Brenham, Hermann Furniture, Hermann Emporium, YellowTruck Market, Woman’s Cave, Brenham Foundry & Floral Company, The Revival Mercantile, Anatomy Clothing Co. & Littles, Organic Hemp Botanicals, Ballad of the Bird Dog, A Little Piece of Mexico, Branded Boutique, Brunmillers Soapworks & Shop, Timeless Designs Market, Tres Chic Boutique, Ace Hardware, The Flamingo Ranch, Leftovers Antiques, Jet Set Chocolates, The Canyon Chick and The Barnhill House Toys & Books.

In Chappell Hill, people will find retailers including Kippers Kountry Store, Chupacabra Leather Company, Texas Artisans Main Street Chappell Hill Texas, Bluebonnet House and Garden Center, Cotton Pickin’s Boutique and Market and The Brazos Star.  Dining opportunities include Bevers Kitchen, A&J Seafood & Steak, Chappell Hill Bakery & Deli and Carol’s Ice House.  Tourists can also stop by Chappell Hill Lavender Farm and Texas Star Winery.

In Independence, visitors will find the Antique Rose Emporium, Old Baylor Park and the Independence Food Center, while Washington features Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site and Star of the Republic Museum. There is also dining at R Place at Washington on the Brazos.

Burton lists attractions including the Burton Railroad Depot & Museum, Saddlehorn Winery and Peeka Ranch Alpacas; shopping at TxJunkR and Bootleggers Antiques; and dining opportunities at Burton Short Stop, Blue Willow Café, Los Patrones and Neon Moon Coffee.

Dining options in Brenham include Floyd’s Wine Bar, Must Be Heaven, Smitty’s Café & Bakery, TABU Tacos & Burgers, Lone Star Southern Grill, 96 West, 30 North, BT Longhorn, Las Americas, Los Cabos, Golden Imperial, Manuel’s, Mescalito Coffee, Sealand Seafood & Steak, Mariachi’s, Brenham Grill, Weikel’s, The Yard, HSF Kitchen and The Tilted Windmill.

Other attractions in Brenham include Brown Water Cigar Bar, Brazos Valley Brewing Company, Wine Bar Brenham & Mercantile, Windy Winery, Pleasant Hill Winery, HSF Biergarten, Antique Carousel, Westwood Theatre, Horseshoe Junction or Silver Wings Ballroom.
