BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO INTERVIEW SUPT. CANDIDATES, POTENTIALLY NAME LONE FINALIST

The Burton School Board’s search for a new superintendent may come to a close on Monday.

Trustees are set to meet in executive session to interview candidates for superintendent.  They will then go into regular session to consider naming a lone finalist for the position, if appropriate.

Dr. Edna Kennedy retired as Burton ISD’s superintendent in March and has since been named the lone finalist for Dime Box ISD’s superintendent position.

Burton trustees are conducting their search with Powell Law Group.  According to the timeline provided by the school district for the hiring process, the hope is to have the selected candidate ready to start in mid-June.

The board will meet Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Burton ISD Administration Office.
