Waller High School did not have to look very far to pick their new football head coach. Offensive Coordinator Marcus Mendoza will be taking control of the program.

Mendoza has been with Waller since August 2019.  In addition to being the offensive coordinator, Mendoza has also been the team's academic coordinator and strength and conditioning coach.

Mendoza has been in the coaching profession for ten years.  He had previously coached at Aldine Davis High School and Cy Ranch High School.

The Houston native played his college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

He takes over a Waller Bulldog team that finished 4-5 last season.  In the fall, they will be making the jump to 6A.

They are going to be in District 15-6A with Tomball, Tomball Memorial, Klein, Klein Cain, Klein Collins, Klein Forest, and Klein Oak.
