AMERICAN LEGION POST NAMES LAW ENFORCEMENT AWARD WINNERS

  

American Legion “Buddy Wright” Post #48 has named their law enforcement officers of the year for 2022.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy Rosa Salinas was named as the “Deputy Sheriff of the Year.”

Meanwhile, Corporal Jimmy Ha was named as the “Brenham Police Officer of the Year.”

The two were honored at a recent formal ceremony, where the American Legion recognized them for the service and accomplishments.

Each agency’s command staff receives the nominations from their department’s supervisory panel, along with a summary of why they should be chosen for the awards.

The command staff reviews the nominations, the individual service record, and notable accomplishments.
