CHAPPELL HILL CELEBRATES “SWEET LAND OF LIBERTY” 4TH OF JULY PARADE
The Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce held their 45th annual "Biggest Small Town Parade" this 4th of July and there were dozens of entries and even more people lining the streets of downtown Chappell Hill for their "Sweet Land of Liberty" themed 4th of July Parade.
Several veterans were honored on multiple floats and there was a flyover from the Washington County EMS helicopter. Of course, the World Famous Marching Kazoo band made an appearance and regaled the audience with a rendition of "Yankee Doodle Dandy".
This years parade was also a judged parade and 5 entries were awarded prize money for their hard work and American pride.
1st place (Awarded $300 from Chappell Hill Bank and Mark &Dorsey Shedd)
2nd Place (Awarded $175 from Chupacabra Leather Co.)
3rd Place (Awarded $100 from Brenham National Bank)
Best Kids Entry (Awarded $100 from Mary Tom Middlebrooks)
Best Business Entry (Awarded $100 from Kippers Kountry Store)
