BURTON BEAT MUMFORD; RT-C UPSETS #1 FAYETTEVILLE
The Burton Lady Panthers stayed perfect in district with a three set sweep over Mumford last night.
Burton won the sets 25-10, 25-11, and 25-14. Victoria Wiesepape had 12 kills. Mycah Simank dished out 36 assists.
The Lady Panthers also got 19 digs from Paige Fritsch, 11 digs from Kelsie Hohlt, and 11 digs from Reagan Roemer.
The Round Top-Carmine Cubettes pulled of a big upset over the defending state champion and #1 Ranked Fayetteville Lady Lions last night three sets to two.
RT-C won the first set 26-24. Fayetteville won the second set 27-25. RT-C won the third set 25-20, Fayetteville won the fourth set 25-17. RT-C took the final set 16-14.
The Cubettes and the Lady Lions are now tied for first in their district.
Burton travels to Round Top-Carmine for a non-district match Friday at 4:30pm.
