A one-woman show begins its two-weekend run at Unity Theatre in Brenham tonight (Thursday).

“Every Brilliant Thing” is a Studio Series production being performed on the Main Stage from tonight to October 30th.

The dramatic comedy by Duncan Macmillan with Johnny Donahoe stars Shanae’a Rae Moore, playing a six-year-old girl whose mother is in the hospital because, according to her father, she has “done something stupid.”  She begins to make a list of everything that is brilliant about the world, and very soon the list begins to take on a life of its own.

Showtimes are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.  Tonight’s preview performance includes a talk-back session with the cast and crew after the show.  Director Sophia Watt will hold a director’s chat half an hour before the show on Saturday.
