HOUSTON WOMAN ARRESTED ON MARIJUANA CHARGES

  

A Houston woman was placed under arrest Sunday on Marijuana charges.

Brenham Police report that Sunday morning at 6:10, Officer Eric Crosby effected a traffic stop in the area of East Sixth and South Market Streets on a vehicle for Defective Equipment.  Contact was made with the driver, Sianca Nicole Allen, 34 of Houston, and a probable cause search of her vehicle was conducted due to the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle.  Marijuana was located inside the vehicle and Allen was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. as well as Expired Registration.  Allen was transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked in and released to jail staff.
