  1. We often wonder why people arrested for possession of a controlled substance end up being repeat offenders. There is no real penalty for those who are caught. In my neighborhood every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening/night there are gangs of young people smoking weed in the street, blocking traffic, drinking alcohol and throwing trash in my yard, the neighbor’s yard, the street and in the vacant lot across the street. Those who live in the neighborhood have to stop and wait on these young “thugs” to move out of the street before turning up in their driveways. They play loud music all times of the day/night, fuss, cuss and make vulgar comments. Worse, they do not even live in the neighborhood; but, are simply following the weed and visiting the neighborhood thug. The weed smoke is unbearable at times. Drive down Independence Street. Yeah, I know, they need prayer. You come and confront them and pray for these delinquents! They all consider the police a joke because even when called they rarely do anything! Property values are in the crapper, yards look a mess with abandoned cars parked in the yard and parked cars lined up & down the street. Talk about low level and low class living! It used to be a nice respectable neighborhood.

    1. I see the reason why the older teens are doing these things , they are not controlled like I was when I was in school. We had to walk in a straight line at all times when at school in halls . We were monitored in the halls & on the play grounds. What I see & what my son comes home with tells me that the people running the schools are not trained right or they just don’t care . They are letting to much happen that well in the future cause the problems we are seeing happen in the older kids. Kids I don’t know come by our car when waiting for our son , they scream at us acting very crazy for no reason. Some say kids will be kids. This is not except able . It tells me the children are not being monitored . They do these things to other cars also !!
