WASHINGTON CO. CLERK’S OFFICE RECEIVES 5 STAR CERTIFICATE
The office of Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel has received an award from the State of Texas.
county commissioners on Tuesday about the 5 Star
Certificate her office received for excellence in the
vital statistics registration process.
Rothermel announced during Tuesday’s county commissioners meeting that her office was presented a 5 Star Certificate by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services for excellence in registration for vital statistics.
The certificate is given to offices that go “above and beyond” in records registration and “ensure excellent customer service, security, and data quality.”
To qualify for the award, county clerk’s offices must attend a training and monthly webinars, complete a self-assessment survey no later than April 30th each year, and register 96 percent of birth and death records within one business day.
Commissioners congratulated Rothermel and her office on receiving the award. She said, “My staff does the heavy lifting. It’s all for them.”
