SOUTHERN RAISED TO PERFORM AT THE BARNHILL CENTER SATURDAY
An up-and-coming, genre-breaking group of siblings takes the stage tomorrow (Saturday) at The Barnhill Center in downtown Brenham.

Southern Raised will perform their trademark songs at a concert tomorrow at 7 p.m.
The group was trained in classical music but raised in the Ozark Mountains – resulting in their unique blend of country, bluegrass, classical, Celtic and Christian music.
The Barnhill Center producer Sharon Brass says when Southern Raised performs a ballad or hymn, it is “breathtaking.” She says, “Their passion for their music and their faith is so inspirational.”
Some of their accolades include 1st place in the 2011 CAM Band Competition and 5th place for the Diamond Awards “Bluegrass Artist of the Year.” They have also collectively received 32 award nominations from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America.
