BURTON LADY PANTHERS BEAT NORMANGEE 10-0

The Burton Lady Panthers continued their dominance of District 26-2A as they run-ruled Normangee 10-0 in six innings last (Tuesday) night.

Bailey Glaesmann threw a no-hitter allowing just three walks, and striking out 13 to get the win.

Burton got on the board in the top of the first inning. Reagan Roemer singled to right, and came around to score on a steal of home. Amaya Williams doubled to centerfield, and then scored on an RBI single by Aerynn Huntsman. The Lady Panthers led 2-0 after one inning of play.

In the top of the second, Katy Whitfield singled, and came around to score on an RBI single by Roemer. That increased the Burton lead to 3-0 after two innings.

The third inning started with Amaya Williams getting hit by a pitch. Bailey Glaesmann followed with a triple that scored Williams to make it 4-0 Whitfield singled to bring in Glaesmann for a 5-0 lead through three.

In the fourth, Roemer singled, and then scored on an RBI double by Williams to make it 6-0.

The fifth inning started with Huntsman getting hit by a pitch, and later scoring on a wild pitch. Whitfield reached on a single, and then scored on an RBI double by Allie Biggs. Roemer brought Biggs home with a double to give Burton a 9-0 lead.

The Lady Panthers would tack on one more run in the top of the sixth to enforce the run-rule. Williams walked, and Glaesmann singled. On an error, Williams came around to score to push it to 10-0 Burton.

Burton now gets ready for the regular season finale on Friday against Iola beginning at 5pm.
