BURTON LADY PANTHERS FALL IN AREA ROUND TO MILANO 6-1

The Burton Lady Panther Softball Team lost the Area Round one-game playoff to the Milano Lady Eagles last (Thursday) night in Caldwell.

Milano jumped out to the early 2-0 lead by scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Burton would cut the lead in half in the top of the fourth inning. Allie Biggs hit a one-out triple, and then came home on an RBI single by Jennifer Lopez to make it 2-1 Milano.

The Lady Eagles would tack on four extra runs in the bottom of the fourth to pull take the lead for good 6-1.

Bailey Glaesmann took the loss going six innings, allowing nine hits, six runs, only two walks, and struck out six.

Burton finishes the season with a 19-5 record.
