MAGNOLIA DAYS FESTIVAL FRIDAY, SATURDAY IN COLUMBUS

  

Columbus will host the 2023 Magnolia Days Festival this weekend.

Friday and Saturday will bring live music, dance performances, shopping, tasty food and refreshing drinks, and family-friendly games to the courthouse square.  The festival is open from 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday, while activities on Saturday begin at 8:45 a.m. and continue until 11 p.m.

Some of the events planned include the Magnolia Days 5K and Kids’ Mile, a classic car show, horse and wagon rides, an art show, a biergarten and wine garden, and a family fun zone with a petting zoo, carnival games, a dunking booth and laser tag.

A highlight of the festival will be the presentation of the Magnolia Belles on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Stafford Opera House and on Saturday at 1 p.m. on the courthouse square.

The entertainment schedule has performances lined up on Friday from Darrel Appelt and Phillip Brummett at 6 p.m., Southbound 955 at 7:30 p.m. and The Spazmatics at 9:30 p.m.  Saturday will feature The Bandits at noon and 1:30 p.m., Czech Melody Masters at 3 p.m., Hackemack’s Hofbrauhaus Combo at 4:30 p.m., Midnight River Choir at 6:30 p.m., Jon Stork at 8 p.m. and the Randy Rogers Band at 9:30 p.m.
