This year’s Greater Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Games will have plenty of local involvement.

The first of the All-Star games will be at 5pm Monday at Constellation Field in Sugarland.  It will feature Senior baseball players from Class 1A-5A.

Brenham Cub outfielders Grant Rogas and Lane Sparks were selected as players for the North Team.

Four members of the Sealy Tigers will be joining them: catcher Dylan Aguado, infielder Dillon Dornak, Pitcher/Shortstop Garrett Nedd, and Outfielder/Pitcher Demarques Thompson.

The North Team will be under the direction of Brenham Cub Head Coach Chase Wheaton, and assistant coaches Cullen Jozwiak and Jeremy Locke.

The South Team will be coached by Cory Benavides of Friendswood High School.

The second All-Star game will follow afterwards, and it will feature All 6A players.

The North Team is under the direction of the Atascocita High School, while the South Team will be coached by the Katy Taylor High School staff.

The following night at Constellation Field will be the Home Run Derby at 5pm, followed by the Futures Game at 7pm. The Futures Game is made up of freshmen, sophomores, and juniors from all classifications.

Brenham’s Drake Bentke will play on the Red Team, which is being coached by the Clear Lake staff.

They are going to take on the Blue Team, which is being coached by the Clements High School staff.
