CALDWELL STUDENT COMPETES IN NATIONAL PAGEANT

Kylan Canon, a senior at Caldwell High School, represented the State of Texas at the Miss United States Agriculture Pageant this past weekend.
Canon was named 2023 Texas Teen Miss United States Agriculture in November 2022.
She competed against 123 young ladies from across the country in the pageant, which was held in Enterprise, Alabama.
Canon finished Second Runner Up in the Teen Division. She also finished in first place for the Interview and Photogenic competitions.
The Miss United States Agriculture Pageant program was created to teach, inspire, and advocate for the agricultural industry.
Over $15,000 in college scholarships were awarded to participants.
According to the Burleson County Tribune, Canon has been involved with agriculture since watching her dad train horses while she was growing up, to joining 4-H at age 7, and eventually showing rabbits and heifers at the county fair.
She also volunteers her time in multiple organizations.
After graduating high school in May 2024, Canon plans to attend Texas A&M and major in animal science.
