TOWN HALL TUESDAY TO DISCUSS TRANSPARENCY WITH BRENHAM ISD

A town hall meeting is scheduled next week to address community concerns about transparency with Brenham ISD.

The event will be held on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Abiding Word Lutheran Church in Brenham, located at 464 Oak Tree Crossing Drive.

Community members are invited to an open discussion on school district matters like safety and security, testing, the budget, discipline and other items of public interest.

Calvary Baptist Church Pastor Billy Sutherland, an organizer of the event, says three school board trustees are expected to attend.  According to Sutherland, Superintendent Dr. Tylor Chaplin and several other central office officials were invited but declined.

The Let Our Teachers Teach political action committee (PAC) is helping to put on the gathering.  The meeting, which is not an official Brenham ISD event, was driven by Sutherland and other community members who wished to hold a town hall-type meeting.

  1. Yeah they declined because they can’t handle the truths…. They are destroying this once great school district.
