SOMERVILLE POLICE SEARCHING FOR MAN WANTED IN FATAL CRASH

  

Somerville police are asking the public to help them find a man accused of causing a fatal crash in early June

31-year-old Jose Daniel Vega Rodriguez is wanted for Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault.

Police say on June 4th, a 2019 GMC pickup driven by 28-year-old Nicolas Hinojosa of Taft was traveling northbound on Highway 36 when it was struck by a southbound 2007 Ford F-150 driven by Rodriguez.  According to police, Rodriguez crossed the turn lane and collided with Hinojosa’s vehicle head-on.

Hinojosa was pronounced dead at the scene.  His passenger, 62-year-old Barry Tisdale of Waller, was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in College Station.  Rodriguez was taken to St. Joseph in Bryan.

  1. Question is why didnt you lock him up when he was transported to the hospital ?
