BRENHAM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT APPROVES VARIANCE REQUESTS

  

The Brenham Board of Adjustment unanimously approved a pair of variance requests presented on Monday.

The first request was from Katherine Cooper and Colby Crouse, who wished to allow a 7-foot, 7-inch west side yard setback where 10 feet is normally required.  This variance is to accommodate a utility/mudroom connecting to the rear of the garage at a home at 500 West Alamo Street.

The second item came from Bevers Family Trust, who requested a reduction in lot depth from the minimum average of 100 feet to 77.78 feet for an L-shaped lot at 402 Cottonwood Street and 405 Botts Street.  The variance is so the applicant can replat the property into two lots, allowing for sale and bringing them into compliance with subdivision and zoning regulations.
