BRENHAM MAIN STREET SEEKING LIVE MUSIC APPLICANTS

The City of Brenham’s Main Street program has begun accepting applications for live music and street performer vendors.

Beginning in September, Main Street’s First Friday Farmer and Artisan Markets will host live music or street performers at each market, in the gazebo.

Market hours are 3-6pm from October thru March, and 4-7pm from April thru September.

There is no cost to the performers, but they must provide their own equipment, and electricity will be available if notified in advance.

Selection of live performances is at the discretion of Main Street Manager Leigh Linden.

Anyone is welcome to apply at https://cityofbrenham.online/bfam-performer, or by visiting the City’s website at www.cityofbrenham.org.

For more information, you can contact Linden at 979-337-7239.

  1. Last time I went to a business on the square that played music, I was enjoying the music, at the business, the police came and told the business to silence the music, my business experience was nice, until the music was silenced, I was no longer enjoying my business experience. I was told that main street has favoritism for Alamo Street businesses and does not like the business that I was visiting on Main Street. Now main street department is allowing live unrestricted live music at Alamo Street. Favoritism from main street department is obviously a fact.
