CUBS TO FACE BELTON FOR THE THIRD TIME IN TWO SEASONS
The Brenham Cubs are on the road tonight at Belton.
Last season, the two teams met twice with the Cubs winning both times. Brenham is coming off of last week’s 16-7 win over Oak Ridge. Junior Quarterback Jordan Harvey, in his first varsity start, completed 13 of 23 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. His leading receiver was sophomore Chris Guidry, who had four catches for 93 yards, and a touchdown.
Belton is coming off of a 35-27 win over Pflugerville Hendrickson. They were lead by senior quarterback Reese Rumfield, who completed 12 of 21 passes for 147 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also carried the ball eight times for 66 yards and two touchdowns.
Belton's Shaun Snapp carried the ball 20 times for 74 yards. Meanwhile, Wide Receiver Isaac Abel had four catches for 42 yards and a touchdown.
