GAS PRICES FOR LABOR DAY HOLD MOSTLY STEADY FROM LAST WEEK

  

Labor Day weekend gas prices in Texas are more or less unchanged from the past week. 

According to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch, the price for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel is $3.40, which is down just a penny from a week ago but is up 8 cents from this time last year.

The average gas price in Brenham is also $3.40, with a low of $3.20 and a high of $3.80.

Looking at the state’s metropolitan areas, drivers in El Paso are paying the most per gallon at $3.91, while drivers in San Angelo have the cheapest gas available on average at $3.27.

Across the United States, the average price per gallon of $3.81 is a penny less than the price last week, but a penny more than a year ago.

According to AAA, Labor Day weekend travel is up from last year, with domestic bookings increasing by 4 percent and international bookings up by 44 percent.
