ACADEMY SPORTS + OUTDOORS TO HOLD GRAND OPENING FRIDAY, WEEKEND-LONG CELEBRATION

  

The new Academy Sports + Outdoors in Brenham is holding a variety of festivities this weekend in celebration of its grand opening. 

A ribbon cutting for the sporting goods store, located at 1041 Nolan Street, will be held at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow (Friday) prior to the store’s opening at 9 a.m.

Throughout the weekend, customers can look forward to deals, giveaways and special appearances by Food Network star and former pro football player Eddie Jackson, the Brenham High School cheer team, drumline and mascot.  The Houston Astros 2022 World Series trophy is also slated to be at the store on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.

The approximately 63,000-square-foot store in Brenham is the fourth location Academy has opened this year.
