BLINN BOARD TO VOTE ON 2023 TAX RATE
The Blinn Board of Trustees will meet on Monday to consider a resolution setting the 2023 property tax rate.
Proposed for adoption is a no-new-revenue rate of $0.0363 per $100 valuation.
The College’s current tax rate is $0.0377 per $100, which was estimated to generate $2,252,899 in tax revenue upon its adoption last year.
The voter-approval tax rate would be $0.0413 per $100.
In other action on Monday, the board will vote on authorizing administrators to seek proposals for the demolition of residence halls on the Brenham Campus.
A series of reports will include monthly updates, preliminary fall enrollment numbers, a fall housing report and a legislative summary for the 88th Texas Legislature.
The board will meet Monday at 10 a.m. in the third-floor board room of the Brenham Campus Administration Building. The meeting will be livestreamed on Blinn College’s YouTube channel.
