CITY OF BRENHAM ISSUES $2.1 MILLION IN PERMITS FOR SEPTEMBER
Residential development made up a large chunk of September’s building permits issued by the City of Brenham.
Eleven new homes were permitted in September for $1,304,300. So far this year, the city has permitted 93 new homes for $12,259,076.
The largest individual permit of the month was issued to Joel Emerson for $240,000 for residential interior remodeling in the 300 block of Pecan Street.
One notable non-residential permit issued last month went to the Washington County Jail for $128,469 for the installation of a new emergency generator and related demolition work. The project contractor is W-Industries.
All told, the city issued 36 permits last month for $2,173,669. In comparison, September 2022 had 35 permits worth $4,185,369.
Through 2023, an even 300 permits have been issued for $30,107,557. At this time last year, the city had issued 318 permits for $39,617,466.
