NATIONAL NIGHT OUT BRINGS COMMUNITIES TOGETHER
Community members gathered along with law enforcement and first responders around the area Tuesday night for Texas’ National Night Out.
Block parties and get-togethers were held at several spots in Brenham and Washington County, as well as neighboring cities and counties.
Local police, sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, paramedics and emergency dispatchers were among those in attendance. They and the general public enjoyed food, games and camaraderie throughout the evening.
In keeping with this year’s theme of supporting sports teams, many donned their favorite jerseys, fired up the grill and had a variety of tailgate food ready to go.
KWHI and KTEX-106 were out and about at local and regional block parties.
National Night Out was started in 1984 as a crime prevention program to help strengthen relationships between local communities and authorities.
