Brass Transit will take the stage at 7 p.m., performing iconic hits of the band Chicago.  Formed in 1967, Chicago was the first band to incorporate a big-band sound into rock ‘n roll music using a strong horn ensemble, and it has sold over 100 million records.

The Barnhill Center producer Sharon Brass called Brass Transit “a dynamic, crowd-pleasing powerhouse.”  She said the band members “embody Chicago’s music in every detail.”

Some of the songs the audience will hear include “Saturday In The Park”, “If You Leave Me Now”, “(I’ve Been) Searchin’ So Long”, “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is”, and “Just You And Me”.

Chicago has won many awards, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.  The band was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and two of its members are in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Brass Transit was formed in 2008 and consists of eight award-winning artists, one of whom is part of the original Chicago band.  Since then, they have steadily toured North America to entertain large crowds.

Tickets remain available starting at $80 at www.thebarnhillcenter.com
