NAVASOTA THEATRE ALLIANCE PRESENTING LANTERNS & LEGENDS
The Navasota Theatre Alliance will pay tribute to historic residents of the city’s past during the annual “Lanterns & Legends” event.
Tomorrow (Thursday) through Sunday, October 29th, audiences will be taken on tours through the Oakland Cemetery, meeting live actors who bring to life important figures in Navasota’s history.
The theme for this year’s “Lanterns & Legends” is Faces Behind the Facades and will feature residents whose names appear on the building facades in downtown. Some of those will include J.T. Lott, Dr. Alfred Ketchum, Maurine Chinski and Mattie Bookman Craig.
Evening tours are available between tomorrow and Saturday at the cemetery. On Sunday, an indoor version will be held at 2 p.m. at Sunny Furman Theatre for those with mobility issues.
