TRAIN DERAILMENT SATURDAY MORNING IN DOWNTOWN SEALY
Update: The derailment was cleared and the roadway was reopened as of 4:45 p.m. Saturday, according to the Sealy Fire Department.
Authorities are at the scene of a train derailment this (Saturday) morning in downtown Sealy.
The Sealy Fire Department says the derailment occurred at Front Street and Fourth Street.
The crossings at Steinhauser’s and Highway 36 are closed. Travelers should be mindful of delays.
It is currently unknown what caused the derailment.
