WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS MOU WITH VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPTS.
Washington County’s partnership with local volunteer fire departments will be a talking point during the next county commissioners meeting on Tuesday.
During a workshop, the court will discuss the volunteer fire departments’ memorandum of understanding with the county. No action will be taken.
Regular session business will include an agreement providing emergency communication dispatching for Blinn College, as well as an amendment to the billing services agreement between the county and EMS’ billing company, EMS Management & Consultants, Inc.
There will also be action on going out for bids for an EMS ambulance chassis. If approved, bids will be due and opened on Thursday, January 25th at 10 a.m. and accepted on Tuesday, January 30th at 9 a.m.
Also on Tuesday, the court will consider:
- Discussion on Engineering and Development Services receipting monies for the Environmental Department.
- Purchasing a Gradall excavator from Associated Supply Company, Inc. for the Engineering and Development Services Department through BuyBoard.
- Reappointing Dorothy Morgan to the MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley Board of Trustees.
- Approval to propose a new member of the Washington County Historical Commission.
- Approval of extension of time to use vacation hours for Shannon May at the jail and Ryan Miller and Thomas Weidmer at EMS.
- A proclamation declaring January 21st as Sanctity of Human Life Day.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
