BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO THREE CALLS ON MONDAY

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Monday.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 1400 Block of Summer Court for a carbon monoxide alarm at 1:15pm.

Upon arrival, BFD found out that the resident was testing the alarm, and forgot to contact the alarm company, so they cleared the scene, and returned to service.

The second call came in at 8:20pm.  Firefighters were dispatched to the 2000 Block of Highway 290 West to a crash with no entrapment.

BFD personnel arrived on the scene to find that a vehicle had run off the road.  After checking with Brenham Police, they were released from the scene and returned to the station.

The final call came in just before 8:30pm of a traffic crash without entrapment at the intersection of South Chappell Hill Street and Stone Street.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find a two-vehicle accident in the middle of the intersection. BFD personnel checked to make sure that no fluids were leaking from the vehicles.

They then assisted with traffic control and helping to remove debris from the roadway.
