DOWNTOWN BRENHAM READY FOR ‘UPTOWN SWIRL’ SATURDAY

Visitors to downtown Brenham can enjoy an afternoon of shopping and wine sampling during tomorrow’s (Saturday) Uptown Swirl.

Around three dozen businesses and locations will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. for participants to try a variety of wines.

Brenham Main Street Manager Leigh Linden says the event supports downtown businesses and provides an afternoon of fun.

Over 600 tickets have been sold thus far, and some will still be available for purchase on the day of the event.  Tickets will be exchanged for commemorative wine glasses and wristbands at the side entrance of The Barnhill Center on Douglas Street starting at 2 p.m.
